I'm using the last version of TMPGEnc VMW7 and I'm experiencing low sound level in my x264 et x265 for every output file. I must use volume ajustment filter to 150% to get the right level (TV 1080i TS file in input)
I use Handrake too and i'm not experiencing the same problem.
Has someone the same problem ?
VMW7 is a great piece of software however a niggle I have is when dropping a number of .ts files into the editor. Each one has to have the "Finish" button clicked. I don't want to do that x number of times! If I drop a load of .mpg or .mp4 files they just get added, no extra button clicking. Please let me do that for transport stream files.
I'm trying to cut 'x265/HEVC' '.Mkv' files.
All the files I've tested, regardless of being 8 or 10 Bit Main take a very long time to load and when the editor opens, skipping takes ages .. somtimes over 1 minute to jump 5 Minutes forward. I also remuxed the files to '.ts' to see if it's the format but that does not change a thing
While skipping, the GPU (I'm using GPU Decoding) is going up on 50%. If I use CPU Decoding the CPU goes to 100%. Scrolling 1 frame back and forth works.
It looks like it decodes the movie always from the beginning, as skipping to somwhere at the beginning of the movie is much faster (10 seconds) then at to the end (>10min)
@Florian Gamper. I sent you an email but you didn't reply. The problem lies with the H.265 encoding. It seems that Smart Renderer 5 cannot handle the x265 codec even though it claims it can. I have had to rencode all of my 4k H.265 video files to H.264 and now they all work flawlessly in smart renderer 5.
Oh, and even funnier, The Video Engine seems to be capable of doing it,
As the Video Mastering Suite 7 has no problem properly opening a 10Bit HEVC file.
But it cannot smart render the cut's :(
It's now over a year since I filed the bug and nothing has been done
Very Sad
I export the file in a mkv container with sound in flac format. On a pc, the file plays normally. Hardware media player "Dune Smart D1" does not play sound in this file.
Tmpgenc creates non full compatible flac file. I tried export elementary streams and reencoded this “flac” file again "flac" format using another program and mixed it using the Tmpgenc “Advanced Tools”. This file now normally playing hardware media player.
As soon as I open the program it crashes. I've attempted to reinstall it to a different location, cleaned registry of all entries and it continues to crash upon opening. I'm using Windows 10 x64, i7 4790, plenty of hard drive space gtx1080ti. The program was working fine until I rebooted the computer one day.
I do a lot of 4K/UHD editing and encoding with the plan to transfer the outputted files to a UHD Blu-ray once they become commercially available.
I have requested an option for a UHD Blu-ray compliment output file, but just get a generic 'we have passed you request to the development' message in reply - surely this could be added, budget software DVDFab UHD Creator supports it.
My question is, can you configure the current encoding settings to output a file that will be UHD Blu-ray compliant file as you can for standard Blu-ray and DVD?
i.e. a file that wouldn't need re-encoding when/if TMPGEnc Authoring Works supports UHD Blu-ray.
I have a bunch of DASH AAC (audio only) files that are not recognized by my video editing app. I need to re-encapsulate into regular AAC/MP4 audio-only files.
I wanted to use the tools I already have for this, but since TMSR5 doesn't seem to accept audio-only file, I need to find another way...suggestions ?
I am using a trial version of Mastering Works 7 and do notice that the encodes i do come out with a higher bitrate than i specified.
If i for example export 1080p25 using the "MPEG for Blu-ray File Output" and set the Level to 4.1 and Scantype to Progressive (2:2 Pulldown) and set the Rate Control Mode to CBR and set the Bitrate to 4.0 the encoded file comes out with a bitrate of 4.3.
I see the same thing with 720p50 encodes as well, iow that the bitrate i specify in MW7 is not obeyed by the encoder. Some fluctuation is normal, but not as much as this.
Has anyone worked with this device? My mp4 files always appear in Masterworks 6 as RE (re-render), files don't seem to match what Masterworks 6 thinks is "standard" for Blu-ray NTSC standard. They work ok, but to completely re-render the movie takes a LONG time, even with NVIDIA operational.
You mean Authoring Works 6, right? AW6 seems pretty strict when it comes to what's within standard and what isn't, but it's hard to say what might be causing it to re-render in your case without any data.
I recently updated to version 7 from version 6. Previous version (6.0) was utilizing the CPU of my PC at about 100% on rendering. I noticed that the new version (7.0) provides utilization of the same CPU around only 50% (same PC). Everything is set similar for both versions, multi-threading enabled. CUDA activated for filtering. I can't find any place, where I can change it.
Anybody has the advice how to increase the CPU utilization to 100% ?
Please, help. Thanks.
Hi there,
the following error always appears , while encoding (in German):
"Während der Verbindung mit Ausgabeprozess ist ein Fehler aufgetreten (6)"
Ausnahmecode: 0xc0000005
Fehlgeschlagene Adresse: 0x619c41a7
Fehlgeschlagenes Modul: MovieMPEG.vme (Basis-Adresse 0x61720000)
Weitere Informationen 1: 0x00000000
Weitere Informationen 2: 0x0000400c"
I already re-installed the product and cleaned all the Registry- and common files for it, as it was recommended. But the error still appears! I can´t encode any video right now. Any suggestions? Thx& Greetings! Mr_KARR
